Sustainable Supply Chain Decisions under E-Commerce Platform Marketplace with Competition

Motivated by the industrial observation that e-commerce platform marketplaces (e.g., Amazon) are increasingly launching sustainable strategies, this study aims to build an analytical framework guide managers on making decisions. This builds a stylized game-theoretical model in supply chain context, where competitive traditional product manufacturers sell their products through platform’s marketplace, while decides whether introduce green and pricing strategy. We find that, when evaluation difference for is sufficiently low, introduction of benefits (or third-party sellers). Interestingly, higher fee makes likelihood win-win situation between manufacturers. Moreover, consumers value than products, products’ can also benefit from entry.
